Germany shirt worn by Rudi Voller in the 1994 FIFA World Cup quarterfinal against Bulgaria. Game played at Giants stadium on July 10, 1994. The defending world champions Germany reached the quarter-finals where they were defeated by the underdogs Bulgaria (2:1). Shirt was swapped after the game with Bulgarian defender Petar Houbchev and comes from his personal collection. Rudi Voller had a storied international career, playing in three World Cups and scoring 47 goals in 90 caps for Germany. He was a key part of the West Germany team that finished as runner-up in the 1986 World Cup and then won the 1990 World Cup against Argentina. After retiring, Voller also managed the German national team, leading them to the final of the 2002 World Cup, making him one of the few to reach a final as both player and manager.
