Ukraine shirt issued to Viktor Tsygankov for the 2020 UEFA European Championship quarterfinal against England. Game played in Rome on July 1, 2021 resulted in a 4:0 win for the Three Lions. The attacking midfielder Tsygankov came on as a substitute in the 35th minute. Ukraine finished third in their group and advanced to the round of 16 where they defeated Sweden after extra time (2:1). Tsygankov made his senior debut in Ukraine's World Cup qualifying match against Finland in November 2017, coming on in the 83rd minute. By December 2024, he earned 57 caps for the national team, scoring 13 goals. The midfielder is Ukrainian Footballer of the Year in 2018 and won the Ukrainian League title with Dynamo Kyiv in 2021. He joined the Spanish side Girona in 2023 and is part of the fairy tale story for the small Catalan team who claimed a spot in the group stage of the UEFA Champions League in 2024/2025.
