Phil Foden came on as a substitute at the beginning of the extra time of the semi-final against Denmark, replacing Mason Mount. Born in 2000, Foden has made over 200 appearances for Manchester City since making his senior debut for the Cityzens back in 2017. The midfielder is a five-time Premier League champion, two-time FA Cup winner and Champions League winner in the 2022/2023 season. Manchester City won a historic treble, to which they have also added the European Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup. Foden made his senior England debut on September 5, 2020, in a 1:0 victory over Iceland in the Nations League. The midfielder was part of the squad at the 2020 European Championship iand the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
