

Barcelona shirt worn by the legendary Spanish defender Francisco Fernandez Rodriguez, nicknamed Gallego, in the 2:0 loss to CSKA at the semi-final of the Juan Gamper tournament. Game played at Camp Nou on August 22, 1972. The professional career of the defender lasted for 19 years - from 1961 to 1980. He made his senior debut in the Spanish championship as a player of Sevilla, and by 1965 went on to make 69 appearances, scoring 7 goals for the club from Ramon Sanchez-Pisjuan. Gallego then moved to Barcelona and made 248 appearances for the Catalans, scoring 17 goals. At the end of his career Francisco Rodriguez returned to Sevilla to record 116 more games before hanging the boots for good. Gallego won the Spanish League title with Barcelona in 1974. He earned 36 caps in total for the national team and is a European champion with La Roja from the 1964 Euros. However, the defender did not make any appearances throughout the tournament. Gallego was also part of the squad at the 1966 FIFA World Cup in England.
