The former Bulgarian International defender swapped shirts with Markus Schupp after the match. Tsvetanov made 40 appearances for the Bulgarian national team in the period 1991 - 1996. He was part of the squad (played in 6 games) that reached the semi-finals of the 1994 FIFA World Cup. He also played at Euro 96, appearing in all three group stage matches. The defender is 3 times champion of Bulgaria with Levski Sofia (1994, 1995, 2002) and once with Etar Veliko Tarnovo (1991).
