Bulgaria shirt worn by Yordan Lechkov in the European Qualifier (Euro 92) against San Marino (4:0). Game played in Sofia on October 16, 1991. The striker came on as a substitute to replace Hristo Stoichkov at half time and swapped shirts with Mauro Valentini after the game. Lechkov was capped 45 times for the national team, scoring 5 goals. He is perhaps best remembered for scoring the winner against Germany in the quarter-finals of the 1994 FIFA World Cup as Bulgaria reached the semi-finals. He was also a member of the squad for the 1996 European Championship in England. Lechkov is champion of Bulgaria with CSKA Sofia (1992) and has won the Bulgarian League Cup with Sliven (1990) as well as the Turkish League Cup with Besiktas (1998).
