England shirt issued to Michael Owen for the 1998 FIFA World Cup clash against Colombia (0:2). Game played in Lens on June 26 and resulted in a 2:0 defeat for the South American side. Owen played full 90 minutes. The former England International forward went on to score 40 goals for the "Three Lions" in 89 appearances for his country. Young Owen is the star of the World Cup Finals in France scoring one of the most spectacular goals of the tournament against Argentina. England, however, are in tears once again after being defeated by Albicelestes in the most typical English manner, following a penalty shoot-out thriller. Owen is part of England's squad at two more World Cups (2002, 2006) as well as at two European Championships (2000, 2004). Shirt is acquired from the personal collection of Michael Owen.
