Levski Sofia shirt worn by Marian Hristov during the 1996/1997 campaign. In the summer of 1997, after having completed his second season with Levski (75 appearances and 22 goals in total), the midfielder made a move to Bundesliga's top flight club 1.FC Kaiserslautern. In his rookie year with "The Red Devils" the former Bulgarian International won the German League title and to date he remains the only Bulgarian player to win the German Bundesliga. Hristov was capped 45 times for the national team, scoring 4 goals, and was part of the squad at the 1998 FIFA World Cup in France (played in 2 games) as well as the 2004 European Championship in Portugal (played in 3 games).
