Bologna shirt worn by Nikolay Iliev during the 1989/1990 season. The former Bulgarian International defender became the first local player to join a Serie A side. He spent 2 seasons at "Renato Dall'Ara" and went on to make 28 appearances for the club, scoring 3 goals. Iliev earned 53 caps for the national team, scoring 5 goals. He was part of the squad that reached the semi-finals of the 1994 FIFA World Cup but did not make any appearances throughout the tournament.
