The former Bulgarian International forward made 59 appearances for his country in the period 1978 - 1988, and scored 15 goals. Mladenov played in all four matches for "The Lions" at the 1986 FIFA World Cup in Mexico. The striker is 4 times champion of Bulgaria with CSKA Sofia (1980, 1981, 1982, 1983) and has won the League Cup on 2 more occasions with "The Reds" (1983, 1985). Mladenov has also won the Portuguese League Cup with Belenenses back in 1989.
