Romania shirt issued to Florin Prunea for the 1996 European Championship group stage clash against Bulgaria. Game played in Newcastle on June 13 and resulted in a 1:0 win for Bulgaria. Prunea was an unused substitute and swapped shirts with Bulgaria's Dimitar Popov. Shirt was personally gifted to our collection by the Bulgarian goalkeeper. Fun fact is that unlike Bogdan Stelea's GK shirt, Florin Prunea's shirt is without a crest. Prunea earned 40 caps for the national team in the period 1990 - 2001 and spent most of his career playing for Dynamo Bucuresti in Romania.
