Germany shirt worn by an unknown player in 1991. The green version of the iconic adidas kit from the 1990s is one of the rarest and most sought-after pieces of memorabilia of the German national team. This away kit, with sewn-on embroidery, was worn by the senior team in only two matches. The friendly game against TSV Barsinghausen on April 28, 1991, when, however, the felt number on the back used a 3D font. The second game was another friendly match but this time at Wembley versus England, where the Germans used the same font as on the shirt in our collection, but on long-sleeved jerseys. The match on September 11, 1991 ended in a narrow victory for the reigning world champions. The only goal was scored by Karl-Heinz Riedle. That was the last time the exceptional green away jersey was worn by the senior national team. The kit, however, was also used by the youth formation of Die Mannschaft, as well as by the women's national team during the 1991 World Cup. The ladies wore a green away kit in their clashes with Sweden and Taiwan, with the difference that they placed a number not only on the back, but also on the front of the shirts, between the crests of the German Football Association and adidas. Without a doubt, this is an extremely rare and beautiful piece of memorabilia that sits proudly in our collection.
