France shirt worn by Bixente Lizarazu against Croatia in the semi-final of the 1998 FIFA World Cup Finals in France (2:1). Game played in Paris on July 8. The shirt comes from the personal collection of Zvonimir Boban. Lizarazu played full 90 minutes. Les Bleus overcame the Balkan sensation with two goals by Lilian Thuram, which, curiously, turned out to be his first and only for the national team. In the big final, the French beat Brazil 3:0 to lift their first World Cup title in front of a home crowd. The left back Lizarazu went on to make nearly 100 appearances for the French national team, with which he is European (2000) and World champion (1998). He has made over 200 appearances with Bayern Munich, with whom he is also European and World Club champion.
