Cherno More Varna shirt worn by Aleksandar Aleksandrov in A Grupa during the 2008/2009 season. The former Bulgarian International attacking midfielder went on to score 19 goals in 57 games for "the sailors" over 2 years time. Aleksandrov earned his first cap with the national team in a 3:0 victory over Luxembourg on 10 October 1999. For Bulgaria, he was capped 11 times, scoring once. He won the Bulgarian League title with Levski Sofia (2000) and the League Cup on two occasions (1998, 2000). Aleksandrov also won the Turkish League Cup with Kocaelispor back in 2002. He was honoured as Bulgarian Footballer of the Year in 1999.
