Iliev won the Portuguese League Cup with Benfica back in 1996. Shirt was gifted by the player. Iliev earned 34 caps for his country in the period 1991 - 2000, scoring 3 goals in total. He was part of the squad at the 1998 FIFA World Cup in France, where played in all three games.
