The former Bulgarian International striker joined Parma on loan from Manchester City and went on to make 64 appearances for the club over 2 seasons, scoring 11 goals. Bojinov made his senior debut for the Bulgarian national team at UEFA Euro 2004 in Portugal. On 22 June, he came on as a substitute in the 1:2 loss against Italy. Throughout his career Bojinov earned 43 caps for Bulgaria, scoring 6 goals.
