The former Bulgarian International defender won 2 League Cups in a row and went on to make 89 appearances for JEF over 3 seasons, scoring 2 goals. He earned 40 caps for the national team in the period 1998 - 2010 and was part of the squad at the 2004 European Championship in Portugal. Stoyanov won 2 Bulgarian League titles with Levski Sofia (2001, 2002) and 3 League Cups (2002, 2003, 2005).
