During this period, Michel went on to make 561 appearances, scoring 130 goals. He is six-time Primera division champion, two-time winner of Copa del Rey and four-time winner of the Spanish Super Cup. With Real Madrid, he also triumphed twice with the UEFA Cup. For the Spanish national team, Michel recorded 66 matches, scoring 21 goals. With "La Furia" he participated at the FIFA World Cup Finals in Mexico'86 and at the 1990 FIFA World Cup in Italy, as well as in Euro'88 in West Germany.
