Borussia Monchengladbach shirt worn by the legendary Hans-Hubert 'Berti' Vogts in the 3:2 victory over CSKA in the 1972 Final of the Juan Gamper tournament. Game played at Camp Nou on August 24 in front of 80 000 spectators. Jupp Heynckes scored the winning goal for the Germans in the last minute. Vogts played full 90 minutes and swapped shirts after the game. Berti was one of the key figures for the success of Borussia's "golden" generation of the 70s. Along with the likes of Uli Stielike, Alan Simonsen and Jupp Heynckes, Hans-Hubert triumphed five times in the Bundesliga (1970, 1971, 1975, 1976, 1977), won the DFB Pokal (1973) and twice the UEFA Cup (1975, 1979 ). Vogts also played in the 1977 European Cup Final which the Borussen lost 3:1 to Liverpool. Berti Vogts spent his entire career at the Bokelbergstadion, making 526 appearances and scoring 42 goals in all competitions between 1965 and 1979. As many as nine times he was included in the Bundesliga's "Team of the Season", twice winning the "Footballer of Germany" award (1971, 1979). Berti Vogts is a World (1974) and European (1972) champion with "Die Mannschaft". He was selected to the "Team of the World" at the 1974 and 1978 FIFA World Cup. Vogts won his second European title in 1996, this time as a coach of the German national team.
