England shirt issued to sir Trevor Brooking for the 1982 FIFA World Cup Group E win against Czechoslovakia (2:0). Game played in Bilbao on June 20, 1982. The former English International midfielder remained an unused substitute in that game but swapped shirts with Czech player after the clash. He spent almost his entire career at West Ham United, making 647 appearances for the club. He won the 1975 FA Cup and the 1980 FA Cup in which he scored the only goal. Brooking played 47 times for England, scoring five times and was part of the squad at Euro 1980. He was appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in 1981, elevated to Commander of same order (CBE) in 1999, and knighted in 2004.
