Bulgaria shirt issued to Krasimir Balakov for the 2002 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers. This is a special shirt as Bulgaria only wore black coloured printings in the last three games of the qualifying group - away games at Malta and Czechia and the home match against Denmark. Balakov, however, wore short sleeve shirts in these games. For the rest of the games the colour of the shirt number printings is red. The former attacking midfilder made 92 appearances for the national team between 1988 and 2003 (one of the best totals in national history) and scored 16 goals. He is a bronze medalist from the 1994 FIFA World Cup and was voted to the World Cup All-Star team.
